- The candidates are given two page answer sheet which is in ORS format. ORS stands for Optical Response Sheet. This sheet is machine readable. JEE (Advanced) has introduced this sheet for faster evaluation of answer sheets.
- The first page of the ORS is machine readable. It has been designed in such a way that it leaves impressions of the responses on the second page.
- Both the sheets are perfectly aligned so that the impressions on the second sheet comes in a perfect manner.
- The answers to JEE (Advanced) question papers should be marked on the first page of the ORS sheet by darkening the appropriate bubble or bubbles. The candidate can also check the other sheet to ensure that the impression has come on that sheet too. If the impression is not coming then the candidate should apply pressure while shading the bubbles to ensure that the impression comes in the second page. Its always advisable to use the black ball point pen for shading the bubbles for the correct answers.
- The second page of the ORS will be handed over to the candidates by the invigilator at the end of the examination.
