Ans. Alluvial soil it is found over approximately 45% area of the country. This is is very fertile soil. It is contributing a lot towards the development of our agriculture. The fertile northern plains of India are mainly formed by alluvial soil.

Ans. 1. The soil should be protected from water logging by draining the excess water out.
2. Dams over the rivers should be constructed to stop floods.
3. Good methods of agriculture should be used.

Ans. Since the the beginning of the civilization, man had started living around rivers and streams. The water of the rivers and canals is being used for irrigation and other human activities.

3. The rainwater should be stored and used afterwards.

Ans. Deciduous forest trees shed their leaves in autumn season. The leaves grow again in spring season. We get wood of sal, teak, bambook, shisham and Khair trees from these forests.

Ans. Indian Board for Wildlife was established in the year 1952. In the year 1972 and 2002 government passed the Acts for the protection of wildlife. Many national parks and wildlife sanctuaries have been established.
