It is a fact that the present generation is definitely going to be of couch potatoes and the spectacled. We see all round us children wearing spectacles and are obese. This all is due to eating rich food including the junk food and sitting for hours before TV screens, playing video games and no exercise. Such things do not bode well for human health.

Generally speaking studies and sports are indispensable for a proper growth and a good career. So physical exercises in the form of workouts, cycling, walking, playing traditional games are as important for good health as air and water for survival. An hour's daily workout, walking, cycling etc, done for six months to a year increase the size of crucial parts of the brain.

We need to spread awareness among the children and masses through posters and morning assembly talks. We must know that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. So let us go out and exercise for better performance at academics and live a pleasant and contented life.

It is a fact that everybody has the right to education. The right to free and compulsory primary education, without discrimination and of good quality, has been reaffirmed in all human rights conventions.

But, unfortunately, gender inequality in education is extreme. Girls are less likely to access school, to remain in school or to achieve education plays a particularly important role as a foundation of girls' development towards adult life. It enables them to secure other rights. It helps them to develop skills that allow them to make decisions and influence community change in key areas.

Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. The educational achievements of women can have ripple effects within the family and across generations. Educated women can recognize the importance of all necessary elements for better life. They know how to seek it for themselves and their family. After all, Girl Child's Education lays the foundation for a bright future of the society. Performance of teenagers has always been a matter of concern for all. It is growing and getting widespread day by day.

Teens today are leading our society into the Internet Age. They are developing the necessary skills to perform well in society. But when they are evaluated in terms of academic performance, they don't perform to their full potential. It's just because they don't really have that much dedication. There is lack of motivation. They develop poor work habits and can't utilize their skills to perform well.

Sometimes they lose their confidence and ultimately develop some medical problems. These youngsters are the future of our society. They can never be ignored like this. A proper perspective about them and certain changes can be useful for them.

These teenagers should be instilled with confidence by encouraging them to try new things and praising them for trying. Tell them to have faith in themselves and be always supportive. This will make them emotionally strong. Setting goals and being disciplined have a big importance. It helps to put them on track where they can focus on achieving and development, rather than allowing their negative thoughts to overpower them.

A positive environment should be created at home. Talking positively lightens the home environment. Support of family and schools encourage them to come out with flying colours.

The work which we used to do ourselves is being done by machines. Robots can do works like cooking, cleaning etc. It has helped us a lot to raise our standard of living. It has made very rapid progress and completely transformed outwardly the manner of our living.

The advent of science has altered the life of man. The world has shrunk and man is well-connected with far off places. We have been provided with more comfort and recreation. Television, mobile phones, air conditioners, oven, geyser, cars and elevators have changed our lives.

The successive discoveries and inventions of science have given the conveniences, comforts and power to humans. But there are two sides to a coin. On the contrary, these inventions have led to anxiety, tension, new diseases and environmental crisis. The same nature which gave us such valuable resources is now being abused and ignored.

Science is not just a tool, it is a very intelligent force. We should use it in an intelligent manner for our good and to make life comfortable and hassle-free.

It is really sad that we all are contributing daily to the destruction of our planet Earth. Earth is the only planet that has life. Its ecological balance is necessary for life. But to get a comfortable life we are slowly destroying the life-giving aspects of the planet.

Industrialisation, urbanisation, population growth, increasing number of vehicles, environmental pollution, exploiting natural resources, etc, have affected the planet. Due to environmental pollution, there is global warming Seasons are getting changed. Rains are becoming scanty. In fact, we are taking much more from this planet than we should give. The consequences are before us. Life is becoming hard due to seasonal changes. Too much dependence is increasing on artificial sources of life. Water is becoming a scarce commodity. Indeed, life is being threatened due to too much exploitation planet.

We must awaken a sense of concern among the people about the destruction of nature. First of all, we must plant more and more trees. We must check environmental pollution. We must check deforestation. There is a dire need to take immediate steps so that our planet is not destroyed so rapidly.
