Ans. per meter.
Perimeter= 2(l+b)
=2(35+18)=106 m
Cost of fencing at the rate of Rs 20 per meter = 20×106= Rs2120

Hence, Ravi covers less distance and by (160-82)m= 78m

Distance travelled by rickshaw= 15.32 km
Distance travelled on foot = 142.356-(110.267+15.32)

Number of tiles =Area of entire floor/area of one tile= 12/0.25=48 tiles
30 A motor bike travels 220km in 5 L of petrol.
a) How much distance will it cover in 15 L.
b) How much petrol is required to cover 440km.
a) distance covered in 1 l= 220/5= 44 km
distance covered in 15 l= 15 × 44 660 km
b) In 5l motor bike travels=220km
Petrol required to cover 440 km= 10l
31 A bike “ A” covers a distance of 45 km in 5 liters of petrol another bike “B” covers a distance of 84 km in 7 liters of petrol. Which bike we should purchase and Why ?
Bike A covers 45 km in 5 l
In 1 l distance covered= 45/5 =9 km
Bike B covers 84 km in 7 l
In 1 l distance covered= 84/7 =12 km
Since bike B is covering more distance in 1 l petrol , therefore we should buy bike B.
