• Total Marks: 100 (Theory: 70 + Practical: 30).
• Time Allowed: 3 Hours (Theory). • Theory Units: Computational Thinking & Programming (Python) - 40 Marks, Database Management (SQL) - 20 Marks, Computer Networks - 10 Marks. • Practical (30 Marks): Lab test (Python + SQL query), practical file/report, project, and viva voce. • Question Mix: MCQs, assertion-reasoning, code-tracing/output questions, and Python/SQL problem-solving questions with internal choices. Sample 1-Mark Question (MCQ - Output Prediction): What will be the output of the following code?
Step-wise Marking Scheme:
• Correct Answer (1 Mark): 30. • Reasoning: Negative indexing counts from the end of the list, so index -1 refers to the last element. Sample 3-Mark Question (SQL Query): Consider a table EMPLOYEE(EmpID, Name, Dept, Salary). Write an SQL query to display the Name and Salary of employees in the 'Sales' department, ordered by Salary in descending order.
Marking Allocation:
1. SELECT clause with correct columns: SELECT Name, Salary (1 Mark).2. FROM and WHERE clause: FROM EMPLOYEE WHERE Dept = 'Sales' (1 Mark).3. ORDER BY clause: ORDER BY Salary DESC; (1 Mark).
