B. Summary of the poem-
This poem ‘The Quarrel’ is composed by the poetess Eleanor Farjeon. Eleanor Farjeon was an English author of children’s stories, plays and poetry. In this poem, she talks about the quarrel between the siblings. Here, she describes the love hidden behind the quarreling of siblings. She also gives the message that the siblings fight with each other but they can’t live without each other.
In this poem, the poetess had a fight with his brother. They both were fighting without knowing the cause. During the fight, they both fell down. In the beginning, the fight was modest but later it became serious. Her brother said he was right whereas she was thinking she was right.
In the noon, the fight became serious. They both started hating each other. They did not like one another. Suddenly, the poetess’ brother hit her on her back and asked her to come with him. He said that it was not right to pull the matter throughout the night. He said humbly that he was wrong (that showed his generosity).
