Ans.1. The forelimbs of birds are modified into wings which help in flying.(1)

Ans. 1. It helps in maintaining the right temperature for the survival of life/It protects us from the falling meteoroids./ It has ozone that protects us from ultraviolet rays of the Sun. (any 2 pts for 2 marks)
