CLASS X (ENGLISH Communicative) Ques 1:- Prepare a personality card about any poet/ writer from your literature reader.

Find out his works and add photographs to make it more attractive. . You must use the following points. a) Name b) Place of birth c) Names of some books written by him d) Types of stories or poems written e) Any awards won f) Some other information that you want to share Use coloured A3 size cartridge sheet to make the personality card. It should be decorated beautifully to reflect your creativity. Use only black coloured sketch pens to write on the card.

Ques 2:- Read the newspaper everyday, clip and paste articles (two each) related to the following topics-

a) Solar Efficiency d) Sustaining Himalayas

b) How to keep yourself fit e) Tiger in Trouble

c)Save the environment Paste the newspaper clippings in the coloured scrap file. It should be decorated beautifully to reflect your creativity. Use only coloured pens to write in the file. Articles should be pasted properly under each category with proper heading mentioned at the top. Write these articles in your own words sharing your opinion about the topics.

Ques 3:- It has been rightly said that books are our friends for life. They give us knowledge and experience.

Read the long reading text “The story of my life by Hellen Keller” (Lesson 1-10)

Thereafter, Do the following work, related to the book read by You:

i) Make a book cover based on the book read.

ii) Select the character you liked the most and write a paragraph on him/her.

iii) Plot of the story (in about 200 words).

iv) Write the values you learnt from the life of Helen Keller in about 100 words.

v) Answer the following questions in about 150 words each.

a) How did Helen Keller lose her faculties of seeing and hearing? (Chapter 1)

b) Helen was naughty and she indulged in pranks unmindful of their consequences. Describe the incidents to prove this. (Chapter 2)

c) A deaf and blind person pines for a life without disability. Why? (Chapter 3)

d) A teacher can play a very significant role in the life of her pupils. Justify the statement with special reference to Helen Keller. (Chapter 4)

e) why did Helen start fearing of Nature? What lesson did she draw? (Chapter 5)

f) How can an abstract idea be made comprehensive to a challenged person?(Chapter6)
