Interhouse English Declamation Contest
Venue : School Auditorium
Date : 2nd Feb., 20XX (Juniors)
3rd Feb., 20XX (Seniors)
Time : 12 pm
A team of four students will participate from each house in each of the following categories, separately for boys and girls:
Junior : Class 6-9
Senior : Class 10-12
Preliminary rounds will be completed under the arrangements of the english department by 25th Jan., 20XX, and lists of teams submitted to the Coordinator by 11 am on 27th Jan., 20XX. Delayed submission will not be accepted. The coordinator will be responsible to invite a panel of three judges from local schools,
with the approval of the principal. The marking scheme will be as follows:
subject matter – 30%; language – 40%; delivery – 30%.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three speakers in each category, and the house attaining the maximum points will be
awarded the overall championship. The Coordination Conference will be held in the principal’s office at 10 am on 28th Jan., 20XX, during which the topics for the declamation will also be disclosed. All housemasters will attend.
