1.      A person is advised to wear spectacles with convex lenses.  State the defect of vision he  is suffering from.

9.      (a)    How does the tendency of an element to loose electrons change in a 'group' ?         

10.   (a)    State  Modern Periodic  Law ?                                                          

11.   List four changes you would like to incorporate in your life style which would facilitate the more towards a sustainable  use of available  resources in our country.

12.   In tobacco plant, the male gametes have 24 chromosomes.  State  the number of  chromosomes in

(i) egg nucleus,

(ii) zygote,

(iii) endosperm and

(iv) leaf cell.

13.   The organisms formed by asexual reproduction are considered as clones.  Why ?  State the advantage of sexual reproduction over asexual reproduction.
