Facts about NTSE examinations
- NTSE is an offline mode or pen-paper based examination. NTSE exam is available in both the English and Hindi medium.
- The total time this paper to answer is 2 hours for each part. Only those who passed stage – 1 and will be qualified for the stage – 2 exams.
- The National Talent Search Examination is an Indian national-level scholarship program to recognize and develop talented students.
- Class X candidates were qualified to be in the selection process. When conducted by an official body (NCERT), it is widely considered to be India’s most prestigious high school examination.
- The National Level Examination results will be published in July–August of the same year. Students were divided into four quotas: Standard, SC, ST, and Disabled. Approximately 750 students will be chosen from the General quota 150 from the SC, 80 from the ST and about 20 from the Disabled quota.
- NTSE is divided into Stage 1 and Stage 2. In both the stages, subjects, and syllabus are the same. But there is a little bit difference between stage 1 and stage 2 and it depends on the pattern and organizing factors.
How to prepare for NTSE examination
The simple way to prepare for the National Talent Search Exam and become an NTSE Scholar is by enhancing the understanding and implementations of syllabus theoretical information up to Class X.
Developing analytical thinking is the most important skill for NTSE preparation this is a process in which the acquired knowledge, concepts learned misconceptions understood and fundamentals learned
Advance in-depth applications are also required for some science and mathematics topics as approximately 15 percent of the questions asked in SAT paper are based on these applications. Knowledge of Class XI or higher are not required to cover such requests. This can be achieved by comprehensive advance question training on CBSE IX and X syllabus.
Managing social studies subjects is a very important and strategic task as in Stage–I require knowledge of history, geography and people up to the zonal stage, but in Stage II students need to have good knowledge of our nation as a whole. Only the textbook of CBSE will not be enough to prepare the stage–I, students need to refer books of the State Board for regional knowledge as well.
Using a set of Mock tests general practice can be achieved. There are several sets of online mock tests available to join a candidate.
Revision is an important component of any preparation process. Without any clarification, students will easily forget important facts. It is also advised that before moving to a new chapter, the previously examined syllabus be updated. This will help you stay up to date with the important topics and avoiding the difficulties of the last minute
The only way the performance can be monitored is to try sample papers or mock tests. To keep checking your performance, solve as many sample papers or mock exams. It also allows you to improve the measurements to solve sample papers online and offline.
Reward
Students who successfully qualify for all NTSE stages are eligible for a scholarship. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 500/-a month for all Class XI students (regardless of class/course) except for a Ph.D. where it is charged in compliance with UGC requirements. The older book grant system was removed. The parental income criterion for the decision to pay the scholarship was also discontinued. Initially, in the study, there used to be a third level in which an interview was to be conducted.
